In the 1-Day Catching Kids Up with Acceleration workshop teachers will:

Discover what acceleration is and the key components of acceleration for catching kids up
Learn how exemplary schools accelerate learning for special education, ESL/LEP, and at-risk students
Learn how to implement acceleration school-wide and provide struggling students with a "double dose"
Learn how to implement acceleration in the classroom
Learn the role of vocabulary in acceleration
Gain understanding of advance organizers and the most effective ways to use graphic organizers
Learn how activating and building prior knowledge provides a needed connection for students
