Learning-Focused Trainers and Coaches Institute

Many of the people who go through LEARNING-FOCUSED Training of Trainer workshops spend a great deal of their time coaching,  conferencing and supporting – not just presenting. The newly designed LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute provides trainers with strategies, information and content clarifications necessary to provide the best possible coaching, leadership and support to teachers and administrators. The LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute is a 2-day workshop that focuses on how to present, coach, monitor,  conference, and facilitate to support continuous improvement with quality.

The LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute addresses the following Essential Questions:

  • What updates and refinements have been added to the workshop?

  • How does purposeful planning lead to quality versus compliance?

  • How do you assist teachers with designing quality instruction that extends student thinking?

  • How do you support quality implementation for continuous improvement?

  • How do you provide coaching support for quality implementation?

  • How do you facilitate opportunities for professional growth?

The LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute fulfills your update responsibility necessary for retaining certification and accessing redelivery resources. This is the annual workshop that is required for all trainers to stay current and certified. The LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute is customized each time for the participants attending! Participants will always return to their school/district with new knowledge, strategies, and ideas for improving the quality of teacher and leading.

The LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute will be offered at the LEARNING-FOCUSED Training Center 2 - 3 times annually. Schools and districts can also schedule with LEARNING-FOCUSED to host a LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute at their site.

The cost for attendance is $600.00, which includes:

  • Registration Fee

  • Materials

  • Shipping of materials from Training Center to your school/office/home

  • 24 additional months of trainer support and certification to redeliver

If it has been longer than 1-2 years since you were trained, this is the required training in order to remain certified by LEARNING-FOCUSED.  Starting January 2011, attendance at a LEARNING-FOCUSED Trainers and Coaches Institute will extend your Certification for any LEARNING-FOCUSED solution for 24 months. This is THE support trainers need (and request!) for focusing on quality (not just compliance!) implementation within their schools.

What are the prerequisites for attending Trainer and Coaches Institute?

The only prerequisites for attending the Learning-Focused Trainers and Coaches Institute are:

  • Successful completion either all four parts of version 7 of the Learning-Focused Strategies Model OR all four parts of version 6 of the Learning-Focused Strategies Model AND successful completion of the Unlocking the Secrets of the Learning-Focused Strategies Model version 7 workshop.
  • Successful completion of a Training of Trainers workshop of any Learning-Focused solution within the past 24 months
  • Experience training teachers/administrators on the solution you have been trained to redeliver

If you attended any of the following Training of Trainer workshop since January 2008 you are eligible to attend the Learning-Focused Trainers and Coaches Institute.

  • Differentiated Assignments K-12
  • Reading Comprehension Strategies: Flexible Grouping K-5
  • Reading Comprehension Strategies: Teacher Directed Lessons K-5

Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received your registration confirmation from Learning-Focused. Invoices and Receipts will be from Learning-Focused.

LEARNING-FOCUSED UNDERSTANDING
 This is a Learning-Focused event. It is implied that all sessions will include Learning-Focused vocabulary and attributes. If you are new to Learning-Focused there are some sessions that are designed for you. For administrators, Leadership, Achievement, and Accountability should be taken prior to Monitoring for Achievement. The Learning-Focused Connecting Strategies training is the most appropriate for teachers new to Learning-Focused. There are some additional sessions that would be appropriate as well. RESCHEDULING WORSKSHOP
 Learning-Focused reserves the right to reschedule a workshop for any reason deemed appropriate by Learning-Focused. In the unlikely event of rescheduling, all registrants will be notified and will receive full refunds.

UNABLE TO ATTEND
If you are unable to attend, contact Learning-Focused one month prior in order to request a refund. After the deadline you are ineligible for a refund, but you may send a nonregistered person in your place, with registration confirmation or written authorization from you. For all cancellations or refunds there is a $35 processing fee for each. Please call 866-955-3276 in order to request a refund or to send someone in your place.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION
