Focuses lessons on “Teaching to the Strategies”, including the use of signal words, graphic organizers, and questioning techniques in fiction and nonfiction text. The “Tested 7” strategies are used to deepen students’ understanding of “teaching the reader, instead of the reading.” Students gain confidence and competence in using comprehension strategies to acquire knowledge, skills, and understanding of text.
